Pallotta’s fundraiser is slow against the eight-figure man

In his race to overthrow the Human Fundraising Machine, investment banker Frank Pallotta raised just $ 89,675 in Q2 2021 and racked up $ 94,072.

Three-digit, eight-figure Democrat Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff) raised $ 966,157 in the same period and has $ 10,033,321 on hand.

At the same time in his attempt to oust seven-term Rep Scott Garrett (R-Wantage) six years ago, Gottheimer raised $ 577,368 in Q2 2015 and had $ 2,505,372 in his campaign treasury.

Pallotta still has $ 400,000 in campaign debt from loans he made to his 2020 challenge to Gottheimer last year.

In that race, Pallotta spent $ 1,435 million of her own money and lost by 31,842 votes, 53% to 46%.

Pallotta is one of three Republicans planning to face Gottheimer in a yet-to-be determined district, alongside Sussex-Wantage School Board Chairman Nick D’Agostino and Nick DeGregorio, a Marine Infantry Officer retired who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. .

The 5th has gradually become Democrat since its draw in 2012 with 13,085 more Republicans than Democrats. GOP registrations fell to 2,370 in 2016, and as of July 1 there were 17,790 more Democrats than Republicans.

The district left Mitt Romney by two points in 2012 and Donald Trump by one point in 2016 before giving Joe Biden a five-point victory in 2020.
