Nominations for National Small Business Week 2022 awards must be submitted by January 11

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2022 National Small Business Week (NSBW) awards in the Garden State. The NSBW Awards recognize the accomplishments of SBA-assisted small businesses and the contributions they have made to their communities and our nation’s economy.

“The New Jersey SBA has had a significant impact on our state’s economy, providing unprecedented $ 40 billion to small businesses throughout our COVID-19 economic assistance programs – in addition to about $ 1, $ 3 billion in traditional loans throughout fiscal 2021, ”said District Manager Al. For National Small Business Week 2022, no paper or postal forms will be accepted; applications must be made online.

All nominations must be submitted electronically through the New Jersey portal found here by 3:00 PM ET on January 11, 2022. The awards will be presented during National Small Business Week in early May 2022.

    • Phoenix Award for Outstanding Contribution to Disaster Recovery, Volunteer
  • Federal procurement prices:
    • Small company project manager of the year
    • Small subcontractor of the year
    • Dwight D. Eisenhower Awards for Excellence (for large contractors who use small businesses as suppliers and contractors)
    • 8 (a) Graduate of the year
  • SBA Resource Partner Awards:
    • Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Center of Excellence and Innovation Award
    • Center of Excellence for Women in Business Award
    • Business Outreach Center for Veterans of the Year
  • Small investment firm of the year

The winners of the New Jersey District Office Small Business of the Year and Exporter of the Year awards will also be sent to the SBA Atlantic Regional Office for judging; a regional laureate will be nominated and sent to Washington for consideration as a national laureate. All other award nominations are made directly by the appropriate program office.
